Bridal Show Activities & Inspiration
Meeting Vendors and Gathering Information
Vendors will be sharing special offers and incentives worthy of investigation. Meet, compare and revisit as many as desired. All wedding-related services will be present and sharing information and ideas. Do your research in one day, so you are better prepared for the decisions ahead.
Everyone attending will have a chance to win prizes. Just prior to each fashion show, the master-of-ceremonies will host contests and present prizes to the winners. Brush up on your wedding trivia to increase your chances of winning. Prizes are donated by participating vendors and range in value from $25 to $150. A typical prize might be a brunch for two at a local country club (that coincidentally has a great banquet space) or Bridal Registry luggage or a Starbucks gift certificate.
Every registered bride/groom or couple attending a BrideWorld event will be entered to win the $25,000 Wedding Cash Give-Away. Pick your own wedding venue, dress and vendors. If you win, we pay you back, up to $25,000 in cash! Winners need not be present to win. Winners are notified by US Mail. A prize winner is selected once per year, on May 31st. Contestants remain eligible for up to twelve months after attending an expo. Prize rules and restrictions.
You can attend one of the two fashion shows. These are a 20-minute glimpse into current trends and seasonal colors. The presentations are at 12 noon and repeated at 2 p.m. There is a separate room set up for the fashion show across from the exhibit hall.
This is a casual, DIY, question and answer forum hosted by local planners and designers. Gain valuable insight and learn from others or ask your toughest planning questions. The forum can last from 20 to 30 minutes and focus is on all phases of wedding planning.
Food and Refreshments
In the upper lobby, you’ll find a concession area with basic, institutional food and beverages. The Marriott Hotel (2 minute walk) has a coffee stand and full-service hotel cafe (great for Sunday brunch). Just past the hotel there is a Starbucks. One block away you’ll find the Mission Inn with great dining and adjacent foodie-type shops. And, of course the Downtown area has many unique dining options.
Expo Floor Plan
This event will showcase many wedding vendors. Each is assigned a specific numbered location. The printed shopping guide (distributed at the expo) will provide an alphabetical and service-type list. Participating vendors are also listed online prior to the event.
