Pasadena Bridal Show Details
The event is held this Sunday, September 26th, at the Pasadena Convention Center (Exhibit Hall A), located next to the Pasadena Civic Auditorium and across from Paseo Colorado. The nearest cross streets are Euclid Ave. and Cordova Street. The closest parking is shared with the Sheraton Hotel and the convention center. There are various parking options one block, in every direction.
Early on Sunday, there is a city-sponsored marathon causing a temporary street closure during the first hour of our event, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. There may also be an off-ramp closure and detour when exiting the 210 fwy. If you arrive before 11:00 a.m., you may need to approach from the south and enter from the front or side of the Sheraton Hotel at 303 Cordova Street, Pasadena CA.
Upon check-in, each bride/couple will receive an expo shopping bag, a shopping guide, and if registered, personalized peel-n-stick labels. The shopping bag is used to gather information from the wide variety of participating exhibits. The labels contain the engaged couple’s registration info and are used to peel-and-share info directly with preferred vendors.
The entire exhibit hall will be set with 100 to 125 wedding vendors. Each vendor will have a display area to share wedding planning ideas and services. Participants include wedding venues, photographers, entertainers, invitations, florists, bridal salons, beauty services, tuxedos, event designers and others.
Meeting, Comparing and Choosing
The exhibit area will be open continuously from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Plan to meet wedding professionals, compare packages, and assess each company at your own pace. When interested in a specific vendor, plan to share your contact info so representatives can follow up with detailed information.
These presentations are a 20-minute glimpse into current trends and seasonal colors. The showings are at 12 noon and repeat at 2 p.m.
Everyone will have a chance to win prizes when attending a fashion show. The master-of-ceremonies will host contests and present prizes, just prior to each fashion showing.
A Gown Sale of this size, happens once a season. New sample gowns are deeply discounted and sold off the rack. Don’t buy a bridal gown without visiting BrideWorld first.
The Pasadena bridal show has one planning seminar at 1 p.m. This is an informal, question and answer forum. You can ask questions or just listen. It will be hosted by local planners and designers and span 20 minutes.
Pasadena Bridal Show Floor Plan*
This event will showcase over a hundred wedding vendors. Each will be assigned a specific space number. At the expo, you will receive a printed shopping guide with details.
Food and Refreshments
There is a mini Starbucks in the convention lobby. It operates within limited convention center hours. There is another full-size Starbucks about a block away, across the street and on the far side of the Paseo, on Colorado Blvd. Within the Paseo there is an array of dining establishments and plenty of parking, paid by the hour. You’ll find dozens of local restaurants and quaint cafes near Colorado Blvd. Our staff gathers regularly at Baja Fresh (Paseo upper level) and at Urban Plates, a trendy cafeteria, on Lake Street. Both are recommended.
Pasadena is known for its romantic architecture, fantastic mountain views and large downtown shopping area. There are many nearby attractions like Old Pasadena, pubic gardens and museums, and hiking trails to add to your day’s itinerary.
California Health and Safety Mandate
As of September 20, 2021 proof of full vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test result (administered within 72 hours of the event) must be provided as a condition of entry to all large indoor events withing the State of California. Individuals can display on their phone or present a copy of a vaccination card, a vaccination record from a health care provider, a digital vaccination record, or a digital or printed lab result for a PCR or antigen test that indicates a negative result for COVID-19. All individuals must wear a mask over the mouth and nose, regardless of vaccination status, at all times while indoors at the event.
This state mandate, while intrusive to many, allows gathering in larger numbers at concerts, sporting events and wedding expos. The wedding industry is benefited when engaged couples are able to confidently invite immediate family, parents, grandparents, and a larger circle of friends to celebrate their marriage.
