Your Bridal Show Visit
The South Bay Bridal Show is held at the beautiful Crowne Plaza Resort Hotel, located at 300 N. Harbor Drive in Redondo Beach, overlooking King Harbor. The event check in is in the hotel lobby, in the ballroom pre-function area. There you’ll receive an expo shopping bag, a shopping guide, and complimentary items like magazines and peel-n-stick labels. When you register in advance, you will receive 80 printed peel-n-stick labels with your info, use these to conveniently peel and share your info with select vendors.
The resort has two ballrooms set with 80 to 100 L.A. & South Bay wedding professionals. These companies each have a display area to show and share wedding planning ideas and services. You’ll see wedding photographers, entertainers, invitation vendors, representative from venues like hotels and country clubs, florists, bridal salons, beauty products and services, tuxedos, cake bakers, and event designers.
Meeting and Gathering Info
Most vendors will be sharing unique offers and incentives worthy of your time and investigation. Most do not require an immediate purchase. You should gather as a much information from as many vendors as possible to help your planning and before making any final choices.
Hiring Wedding Service Vendors
To reserve a wedding vendor or service for your wedding, a service contract and a deposit will likely be required. That means a meeting to discuss details. At the expo, most vendors will be focusing on making connections and collecting information (from couples), to facilitate setting future appointments after the expo.
The exhibit area will be open continuously, so you can walk through at your own pace and revisit with vendors you prefer. There are many companies from which to gather information. If you are at the beginning of your planning, you may not need an invitation company but companies will usually provide an offer enticing enough to have you contact them, when the time is right. Be sure to gather as much information as you can.
New Wedding DIY Workshops
We’re adding new DIY workshops in 2020 and you’re invited to meet some of SoCal’s most influential wedding pros as they share insight into their most popular products and services. Each 15-minute workshop will demonstrate a skill or share knowledge, give-away a door prize and allow for question and answers. Get ready to learn to make the trendiest invitations, design impressive and affordable centerpieces, create a realistic wedding budget, and save time procuring necessary items and services.
Food and Refreshments
In the hotel lobby, you’ll find a snack stand for basic snacks and coffee. The hotel cafe has a good coffee and menu. Across from the hotel, in King Harbor, there are a number of nice restaurants, including The Chart House, Cheesecake Factory and Ruby’s Diner.
