Wedding venue options are everywhere! Here are some tips to help you choose the perfect one for your big day
When planning your wedding, one of the first things you will have to take care of is selecting and booking the right venue. These days, there are countless wedding venue options available for every pocket and for every couple’s wedding style as well. How do you make the final decision though? How do you choose the perfect wedding venue for your big day? Here are some tips to help you out.
• Stay within budget. If you are like most of the brides and grooms in the world, you don’t have unlimited sums of money at your disposal to spend on your wedding. Thus, before you even start searching for a venue, make sure you establish with your fiancé how much you can afford paying for it (and for all the other wedding-related purchases/services as well). Then, narrow down your list of options to those venues that fit within your budget.
• Choose a location. Do you want to plan a wedding in your hometown? Do you want to plan a destination wedding? Talk to your future spouse and see where you would like to have your wedding. If you plan on having a destination wedding, make sure you are aware of how much it would cost and what times of the year are considered to be “full season” as well (because that’s when venues will most likely charge more than during the rest of the year).
• Choose a style. Before booking a venue, you should also keep in mind how formal or informal your wedding will be. Also, if you plan on having a themed wedding, make sure your venue suits your theme as well. For example, hosting a rustic wedding in a very elegant ball room will not be a great option – and hosting a very elegant wedding in a barn will not be a great option either.
• Don’t rule out unconventional “venues” r. A cruise ship, a museum or a National Park can provide you with a stunning “background” for your wedding – and it is quite likely that they will be less expensive than many of the more traditional options as well!
