What To Do When Your RSVP’s Aren’t Arriving
First things first – don’t panic! Your RSVP numbers, without a doubt, are critical to the last weeks of the wedding planning process. You’ve sent out your Save The Dates, and the invitations, and now every day, you patiently (or maybe impatiently) check the mailbox, waiting for it to be stuff with those familiar envelopes. And when it’s not bursting with replies, you feel a little pang in your gut. Your wedding is weeks away, and you only have 25% of your RSVP’s. While it might feel like it’s all closing in on you, don’t worry, it’s not! Here’s what to do if your wedding RSVP’s aren’t cascading in.

Keep Your Team Up To Date:
If you have a wedding planner, they’re the person who you should keep highly informed of your numbers. If you can, start a Google Sheet or another form of shareable document that you can track your numbers in, and that they can see a live view of whenever they need too. If you don’t have a wedding planner, you can ask your venue and your caterer how they’d best like to be kept up to date. Some might prefer a weekly update of numbers, or others might want a tally the week before the wedding. Whatever you do, keep your team informed!

Let’s your mom and dad handle your extended family, and if you have any friends who haven’t replied, a quick text to make sure they got their invitation is usually all you have to remind them they RSVP.
Be Prepared For Extra Guests:
It doesn’t happen at every wedding, but lots of brides and grooms end up seeing guests at their wedding who didn’t RSVP. Ugh!!! Ultimately, it’s not the end of the world, as event staff is fully capable of handling it the day of (it’s what makes them so amazing!) So if you see some people that you know didn’t RSVP, greet them warmly because this is your wedding day. Extra people celebrating your love is something to be thankful for!
